Overview

The SUGMA error (code 0x4C2D) occurs when the VPN client fails to complete the authentication handshake with the CorpIT security gateway. This typically happens after a security certificate update.

When does this occur?

Immediately after updating the VPN client to v3.1
When connecting from a new or unrecognised network
After a password reset has been performed
When the security certificate cache is corrupted

Resolution

IT has identified that the SUGMA error is caused by a mismatch between the local certificate store and the gateway's updated root certificate. To resolve this, users must clear the SUGMA certificate cache and re-authenticate.

Step-by-Step Fix

Follow the complete resolution procedure to restore VPN access.
