Overview
The BOFA backup failure occurs when the scheduled backup service (BOFA — Backup Operation & File Archive) is unable to complete its nightly snapshot of user home directories and shared drives.
Common Causes
Insufficient storage quota on the backup target volume
File lock conflicts from applications left running overnight
Network interruption between source and backup server
Corrupted index in the BOFA service configuration
